Wood look tile?

Hi. I’m thinking of doing a light gray wood like tile throughout the first floor of my new build (except for the bathrooms). I’m not firm in my choice of tile but I very much want tile of some sort.

I have a mix of tile and wood in my current house and my dog & cats have destroyed the wood. I also like the fact that the tile is easier to clean and never needs to be refinished. I really am looking to get away from wood. It would be great never to have to refinish the floors in my furever house. I use ruggable rugs so I can get some softness on the floor.

It has been suggested to me that wood look tile is out of date. Do you agree? Should I avoid it? What other options are there besides wood and carpet that stand up to pets? I’m hesitant with LVP because I’ve heard it does get scratched, and my dog is large and solid. And I hope to foster other large dogs in the future.

Am I going to regret tile? I’m fine with wearing sandals at home to soften the effect when I’m walking on the tile.

The tile shown is Albero Wood-Look Porcelain Tile which is the one I’m leaning toward.
