I need a full sized stackable washer and dryer for my apartment and after much though am going to purchase an LG washtower. Ordering this week. The reviews are outstanding and they seem to hold huge loads while not taking up a huge footprint.

I have a full sized LG washer and dryer that I have had for years. I love the pair; no issues; works wonderfully. I loved my LG washer/ dryer so much, I purchased an LG TV, LG portable air conditioner and LG dishwasher. All function beautifully; no issues.

Colle, you're not likely to find anything that provides the temperature flexibility of your Bosch Nexxt outside of another European brand such as Bosch or Miele.

As the owner of a Bosch Nexxt Washer and Dryer I can see why you love them...I dread the day when mine finally bite the dust.

Where you know and appreciate the Bosch's features I can recommend something in the 27" full size, that is if you don't mind something used....

The Bosch Vision series was the replacement for the Nexxt line.Bosch only made the Vision line for a couple years before phasing out the 27" models entirely, putting all their effort in the compact 24" market.

The Vision series shared quite a bit of qualities with the Nexxt line but had one quality that the Nexxt was missing, the ability to be stackable.

Just check Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist in your area as they are out there.

I've never really used Bosch Vision except for few times when I had refurbished a washer.

I do see some on Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist but around here some resellers are asking for $800-1000 as-is, which is ridiculous as they're 10+ years old and not refurbished.

Also, they only cost $1500 when new as the govt & Bosch were both offering ECO incentives and clearance discounts, respectively.

@dadoes. You're right. I might be stuck with either Bosch or Miele, (both limited to 24"/small capacity) but I thought I read that Electrolux had onboard heater in their 27" models.

Why is it necessary to boil clothes? Modern detergents can clean effectively even in cool water.

@wdccruise I do boil (ie temp boost or xxtra sanitary) washes for my bath towels, white bed sheets and socks.

I use Tide or Persil, and have done cool water washes for the above, but it's not the same cleanliness.

I've even whitened older what I thought was "clean white" laundry after several boil washes.

Perhaps other Bosch or Miele owners can chime in and tell you their experiences and what I mean.

We just bought our second LG set. We were very happy with our first for the years we owned them. LG is highly rated and the place we buy from said it is the brand they see the least issues with in their in house repair shop.

LG makes some of the best front load washers and dryers out there.....In each of my last 3 homes I replaced the existing W/D with an LG pair and never been disappointed. I currently have an LG Washtower (9 months) and I'm not disappointed yet either. My only complaint is that the dryer setting are all too long and the sensor seems to overdry my clothes - I use the timed dryer setting for most clothes instead, and save the pre-sets for bulky loads like towels and sheets.

There was an article in the Washington Posttoday about how we use appliances like they were still from the 70s and one was hot temp washing. In the comment section was a link to a book calledLaundry Love. Haven't read it but surprised by how much I want to.

I also loved a Bosch set I had, when they discontinued the stackable larger size. Went Whirlpool, which did a dantastic job cleaning clothes, then LG. Trurhfully, at the end of rhe day, the top tier machines all do the job well with slightly different bells and whistles. I have not opted for Miele or Electrolux because their performance, repair, and consumer satisfaction ratings have been consistently lower than LG for years. When I compare my washer performance with a friend who has Bosch, my LG does a better job.
