Chlorophyll is a green pigment central to photosynthesis. I allow weeks before watering and usually not use a lot of water. Unfortunately my apt doesn’t get direct sunlight, however I have it next to a window and also have white bulb over it. It was planted few months ago.

If the medium contains a starter charge of fertilizer, that info will be prominently displayed on the front of the packaging. If it doesn't, it's a near certainty that the plant is suffering from nutritional deficiencies. Several nutrients (nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium, and magnesium) are considered to be mobile in the plant. That is to say they can be moved from location to location within the plant. What happens when one or more of those nutrients are deficient is, the plant robs nutrients from existing foliage to fuel the new growth occurring at branch tips. This causes the existing leaves to turn chlorotic due to the fact this process of resorption affects the amount of green pigment (chlorophyll) such that it is no longer able to mask other pigments (carotenoids - in this case B carotene), which is the norm.

Foliage-Pro 9-3-6 is a great 'go to' fertilizer for houseplants, and it contains all nutrients essential to normal growth, something very few soluble synthetic fertilizers can make.
