I'd say some sort of wax flower, Leptospermum species. Very common in the cut flower trade but I have never seen one so fully and tightly budded.

Ozothamnus diosmifolius, aka Rice Flower.

Wow — from a shrub that’s native to Australia. It’s no wonder that I’ve never seen it before.

There’s another flower stem in the mix that’s still in tight bud…. I may be back later with pics of that. :)
