I agree that they're too close. From where you took the picture they're not allowing the range and venthood to breath. Everything is just too close. rebunky's mock up is much better.

You're going to have a great looking kitchen, but what's way more important is how well the lighting *works*. Those glass shades look great in photos. They will be huge glare bombs everywhere in reality, unless you keep those lights dim and have additional recessed to properly light the island. I don't see that, I don't see enough recessed, unless you already have very bright undercabinet lights planned. Sigh, I really shouldn't even talk or post, it's so common to see bad lighting. It's what made me want to learn how to do this without paying.

Who can even see them? They fade into the background.

Perhaps pendants that were not glass would have been a better choice.

Thank you! I do like how that image looks with the 2 more spread out, and I agree, with the glass we could probably get away with doing 3! Leaning towards keeping the 2 and having it spread more. Thanks for your help rebunky.

There's lots of light in my opinion, but I'm new at building! We do have the under cabinet lights, 6 can lights in the kitchen, and a light over the sink you can't see in the picture. The kitchen also has a TON of natural lighting from windows in the dining room.

Aubrey, right! But nighttime is the problem. Well, you can add more lighting later. But it will cost a ton more.
