D/FW here. Trailing would work fine. I have ’New Gold’ in two hell strips and they work great.

I can’t find my hell strip pics (I’m on a different iPad), but here it is in a driveway bed. Two plants, both 4” pots when I planted them. They grow fast and strong.

I love how they spill over the curbs in my hell strips.

Which white variety are you thinking of?

The New Gold variety is great. I’m a big fan and yours look awesome, but I wanted the trailing variety in this spot simply to keep it lower in height. Not sure which variety I have, simply labeled ”lantana montevideo white” with a few white blooms to prove it.

Mine is the trailing kind, but it gets pretty bushy, too. :)

Just found these … taken in May of that year. Planted with catmint, gaura, feather grass, skullcap, and salvia greggii.

By late summer, they were spilling over the curb. I watered only once a week, even in triple digits.

Anyway, go for it! Lantana loves our hellish conditions!
