The bright white and blue coverlet has a lot of contrast against the neutral. Use those colors so it has something to tie into. White nightstands with blue lamp bases and white lampshades.

Find a throw in the same color tone as the headboard. The dresser could be the same gray. Then a nice pale blue simple area rug.

Since you don’t have a dresser yet, I’d measure the space between windows and look for a dresser that fits, if it opens up more nightstand options (size and height wise) on a more suitable wall. First step is deciding on the layout.

Would you be interested in a white comforter or coverlet and fold your bedspread at bottom for a more modern, cozy layered feel.

Choose lamps last, as it depends on nightstands. It’s also more interesting when furniture is not a set. Look at lots of on line inspiration rooms to help you define the look you want, before purchasing. The big picture is the first decision (along with layout).
