I'm not a fan of making gutters an accent so that means same color as body of house,color of roof or same as facia if it's different to house. In the case of black,brown,grey,white and other standard colors I might opt for colored gutters rather than painting to reduce risk of fade,peel or chips. If you choose to paint by all means follow advice of paint mfgr for primer.
