Thanks Mforr...We had a good time. I got to dress baby after her bath, feed her twice, changed her poopy diaper, take her shopping, etc. Found her and her sister a few cute outfits...got the baby some little boots at Old Navy...so dang cute. I also sniffed, smooched and snuggled baby...gotta leave my scent, LOL. We took older child to daycare around noon so she could play and we could shop at Target. My daughter got pretty sore, so we ended it around 2:30 pm. She just had the baby a week ago Monday by C section...She is wondering why she is so sore? Plus not using any meds for pain. I made her take 600mg ibuprofen before I left her today.
Good mom, good nurse. Sometimes it's not good to fight through the pain. She needs to feel good and get rest. Gotta take some pain meds for a few days, it's better for her and the family. Happy mommy, happy family. :)

OMG, what a long and crazy day this has been. I'm pooped.
@mforr, I told her to relax and take at least some ibuprofen before she goes out running around..she was worried about the pain meds and driving, which is legitimate, for sure. She is a go getter...works full time and part time afterwards. Not lazy. She is a good mom, and the kids r very well cared for, I am proud of her.

She started school and interning again, and had a death in family. Little busy, poor girl. :(

Here handy. Just dealing with some stuff right now.
It's okay to lurk Angela. Sometimes I like to keep up by reading, but just don't feel I have anything to contribute. Still, people are friends here and they can cheer us up even when we don't say anything.

I hope things get better for you soon. Hugs to you Angela!

Jayme - I like your granddaughter's name. Sounds similar to my daughter who is named McKinley. We call her Miki which is how the Asians and the Arabs spell Mickey Mouse. It's fitting since she has always like Japanese culture

When I was pregnant with her, my grandfather died and his middle name was McKinley so I thought it might be good to give her the same middle name. Well, hubby and I went to the hospital with a list of about 10 names and couldn't agree on any of them! So, the planned middle name became her first name

Tradition in my grandfather's family was all the boys had names relating to politicians...he was born during President McKinley's administration. It was a bit of a history lesson when I looked up some of the other names - he had a brother who was named after Abe Lincoln's vice president...I have enough trouble keeping track of presidents let alone other politicians

Hey gang! Apparently a few random comments about a golf tournament and kilts has turned into Kilt Day. As I recall, there was a bit of a wager/compensation to my favorite charity if I wore said kilt during our annual fundraising golf outing? So I'm taking pledges! Photographic evidence of yours truly, David @Ironwood, wearing a kilt for a day on the links to be posted here on OLLDS the day after. I have Kevin Patrick O'Brien AIA currently looking to add to the mayhem by showing up in a kilt of his own. Was wondering...just how many big, strong, manly carpenter types would you pay to see wearing kilts? I currently am sponsoring two teams for the tournament....that is eight...plus me and Mr. Mayhem, KPOBAIA...for the right amount of money to the Forestville Youth Park (www.forestvilleyouthpark.org, TID available on the golf tournament page) I may be able to convince more hairy apes to put on a skirt. Bear in mind these damn things cost $100 on sale... The Outhouse Classic Golf Tournament is on September 20th in Windsor, CA. Soooo...support a good cause, ogle guys in weird skirts and pledge today!

Oh Lord...what I will do for the new meeting room...cannot believe I am signing up for this insanity.

!2 guys? $12? Heck...I'll just give them another $1200 and avoid the whole fiasco!
OK, it is on my feed (w Kevin's name spelled wrong because I am a monkey at a typewriter). Think we could all just make the address known, as long as we aren't hitting folks up?
I will pledge $100 to see that photo... my only regret is that I won't be there to take the picture personally! Where do I send the cheque?
    Consider it done!

Thank you kimdee, it wouldn't let me edit. I am pondering the addition of males for more moola - I think it is a ruse to give Kevin and David more guys to hide behind!
Kevin and David must be front and center in the photo. If I were there -- I'd make sure of it!
Agreed. Houzzers want to see Houzzer Hairies.

Really? I was thinking kimdee would build the calendar for the folks that donated...one guy per month. Although I do now have head and facial hair, randomly...it is missing in some strange places...not exactly a Houzzer Hairy!
Dave, so nice to see you posting again! Can't wait to see the kilt pics, lol.
I would absolutely build a calendar!
Dave, how about uploading a new project file w some photos of the meeting room developments, last year's event, etc. and the 3 paragraph minimum that could turn this into an article on community builds? Stronger message than all of us spreading the news through fan feeds.
Get your Kilty Boys to sign up for the site, and this becomes a Houzzer calendar - which EVERY office needs - set a price and confer info to your new Calendar Builder!
Ollds, if you are seeing this meanwhile, a few more feed notices w requests to spread the love could help our friend Ironwood out! That, and a cheque or Paypal donation!!
Great idea, Studio. I sent a note to Houzz last night telling them about it and asking if they'd be willing to help out somehow. Haven't heard back, hopefully they'll respond.
how about inviting a few rescue groups out with dogs for adoption. have each kiltie boy pose with a different adorable pup for the calender?
DIAspoton! Are you imagining that four legged hairies can sell more than Houzzer hairies?! -The lads will put their pants back on!!!
Houzzers and Bouzzers 2014 -has a nice ring to it.....
reason for the suggestion is 2 fold. broaden the mkt to dog lovers to sell more calenders AND the rescues can educate and remind people to spay and neuter. maybe reach some kids with the message.
i notice there isn't a code to show the donation credit goes to dave. most fundraisers keep track of how much each participant raises by having donors enter a code or the persons name in a designated spot. is thsi an oversight or are they not keeping track?

When I did mine, there was a place to send a note to the 'seller'. I just wrote that it was regarding "Kilts for Kids", re: David Lawson, golf tournament. I think that link is for general donations, not specific to any one thing, from the look of it.

Khrome Studios just announced details for an open house as a design dilemma so it seems, Sir David, as though that may be the way to go with calendar and event info. Will the folks at the park be able to handle orders?
