Vinyl window grille insert (bar) missing - does it matter?

Dear all, thanks in advance for helping out. Here is a photo:

I'm a mediocre DIYer. As you can see in the photo, some of the black grids/mullions/muntins/grilles/dividers are missing. I think they were made with metal. Are those grilles only for decorative purposes, or are they also serving some functions such as holding the glasses together? Should I repair this and if so, how do I find matching bars/grilles for these windows? Thanks!

yess sure looks like externally adhered lead stripping to emulate the look of true lead caming divided panes, nothing to worry about structurally, just visually not the best look.

Tough to say with certainty. Can you take a closer up picture or even one from the interior? I would think they were cosmetic but like I said tough to be certain.

Internal grid bars are not structural, but them failing would be an indication of the build quality.

I don't know - to me those look like leaded glass rather than "internal grid bars". Better pictures would definitely help!

Are those single pane windows? And is there a glass seam where the trim pieces are missing?

If we knew this, we'd be able to answer the OP's question.

Doh.

Dear all,

Yes those are single pane windows. @venmar: Yes those are externally adhered lead stripping as I have one that fell off and it's just a light-weighted metal bar. If I want to repair it to complete the look (looks better cosmetically), is there anything I can do? Can I find "matching" metal (lead stripping) to glue them back piece by piece? Thanks!
