IMO) pt lights should not be a decor item so what ever color comes close to the ceiling color is best.Waht are the spotlights lighting? IMO the potlights are not enough and in very strange placement. The DR IMO only needs a really great chandelier amnd maybe some potlights on the perimeter The kitchen has lights only at one end from what I see But I need to see the kitchen layout that is how you decide where pot lights go . In the LR only on the perimetr because in thta space levels of lighting ar ea must . I think you need to have talk with a lighting designer .

Honestly nothing about this lighting plan makes sense without knowing why spot lights, why surface mounted and why black? can you post some photos or design inspiration?

This is how the kitchen looks like. Surface mounted spotlights because I want it to be minimalistic. For recessed I would need to dig in the ceiling. Black because all kitchen appliances are black.

When you consider task lighting in the kitchen, placement should be so you don't create a shadow on your work. Above the counter. The amount needed is at least 450 lumens at the counter. Ambient lighting lights the whole space. Two different goals.

I should mention that there are enough lights under the top white cupboards that light up the countertop. I edited the original post to add this info.

Although undercabinet lighting helps to light up the counter, it does not light up the interior of your upper cabinets, interior of your lower cabinets, or tall appliance and pantry cabinets. So in the kitchen, some ceiling lights following the cabinets would be better than some centrally located "spots" pointed at certain directions creating shadows.

In this sketch liberty has been taken on scale, cabinet, and furniture layout. The space is very small, and the Living is extremely tight, so furniture is only shown as an idea marker. This follows typical functional and aesthetic goals in a layout with 3" recessed (BLUE) downlight, 3" recessed adjustable housing or gimbal accent (GREEN), two surface mounted downlights/pendants (RED), and a floor lamp (ORANGE).

The layout could be adjusted based on lumenaire selection, like if you were to go with a multi-light mini trim, 2" if your ceiling is not too high, or specific furniture or lighting needs, but the bones of a scheme is shown in contrast to your proposed central "spots." If there was uncertainty in Dining table and Living placement, like if the Living should go near the dynamic corner window, then you could go with a general grid of recessed for flexibility.
