Is the tile rated for a shower floor? What is the DCOF?

Will you have a linear drain with a single slope, or a center drain?

Will be a center drain.

You would need to do a linear drain. A center drain will require angled cuts through the tiles to create a proper slope

I have 8 x 9 matte hexes on my shower floor and they work just fine. Note how the tiler did the cuts for the drain, however:

Ten inches might be a tad too large, but much depends on the size of your shower and how good your tiler is.

@m111675 I think one reason people prefer smaller tiles in a shower is because of slip resistance. I am guessing you just want to have your bathroom floor tile extend into your shower. Regardless, you might like this article. Slip resistance can be had with larger tiles like the ones you suggest.

Hi Sabrina, it looks like that is the same hexagon tile we want to do, or at least same size. I've scoured the internet for a photo like yours and thankfully I found it today! Do you mind telling me the size of your shower (where tile floor was laid). Do you ever slip? Husband is concerned about slipping. BTW, is this an Emswer tile? Thank you for your tremendous help by posting that photo!

Tile was purchased at Country Floors in SF. It’s a matte porcelain. No slipping issues at all and we’ve had the shower for over a year now. The shower is roughly 38 x 54, including a 1 foot deep tiled bench.
