If I were going to spend that kind of money on a Serena and Lily chandelier, I would not paint it. I've painted old bright brass lighting fixtures with spray paint in black, or other colors, but if you're buying new, get one in a color that you already like. Then use the green color in something else, like window treatments, wall paint, rug, lamps, etc.

Of course you can but I would find a cheaper one to alter and paint.

Maybe if you show us your space, where you plan to use it.......you'd get better suggestions.

Inspo pics rarely need an exact interpretation.

Whatever......it would be FAR less risky to spray the shades green , NOT the fixture. More effectively/ noticeably green as well.

It's a Visual Comfort chandelier/Barbra Barry. All Serena did was slap a rattan shade on it: )

I’ve spay painted a chandelier (including chain) for my daughter’s bedroom, but it was second hand and I had nothing to lose. I wouldn’t be spending a lot of money and perhaps not liking results.

I’d rather find a chandelier that is perfect/you love as is and add green elsewhere, which would have more impact in the end.

I would use a glue gun and add some bent wire, maybe even wire clothes hangers to help achieve the look in the inspiration photo. Then I would paint the whole thing green. This chandelier is $399.98. I think it is closer to the look you are trying to achieve and a ton cheaper.

I have to agree the one ilikefriday posted is much closer to the inspo pic. IMO there are many other places to add the green and honestly I do not like the rattan shades at all they make the fixture look cluncky , not at all like the inspo pic.

The inspo pic is just showing the green. Not necessarily the shape. I get 50% off Serena & lily but could also probably find a similar less expensive. I was honestly just asking if it looks right to paint a light fixture. Is spray paint the next choice for resin? Thanks!

You can use most any kind of water based paint. Spray paint, chalk paint, brush it on, etc. I altered and painted a chandelier a few weeks ago. I changed it from gold to blue, added some dowel rods, etc. It was already installed and I didn't want to take it down so I pulled a ladder next to it and painted it in place with a brush using Behr wall paint. Then I coated it with Pearl Ex to give it a shimmery finish.

I think spray paint (done well) would give the best finish
