Finishes from the Pile!

I have been trying to kick it into high gear quilting my stack of tops tops. My sister, Chris wanted this one. It is a pattern called Spin Wheels by Kimberly Einmo. The stars were pieced with stash fabric and finished size is 76"square.

This is the 2019 forum BOM blocks I finally got quilted. My girlfriend really likes it so I think I will be giving it to her. Finished size 78" square.

I finished this panel quilt last fall, but I don't think I ever posted it. I found the panels at Island Quilters, a little shop in Hilton Head, SC. I may take this one on the boat. Final size is 67" square.

I also finished the evening star quilt for my sister's best friend. She really loved it. I have to say it turned out much better than I expected with such low contrast. Final size was 85" square.

Lastly, I pulled this one out from under a pile of batting remnants when I was attempting to clean an area of my sewing room. I don't think I ever posted it, but I really like the way it turned out. It is my version of J. Michelle Watts Santa Cruz Sampler from her book The Quilted Cross. I will have a hard time giving this one away. Finished size is approx 50" X 60"

Oh, Wow! Wow! Those are all gorgeous! Love the colours in the first one. And the Evening Star is elegant.

All are really pretty. I don't believe I've seen anything quite like the quilted cross. I would have a hard time giving that away, too.

Oh my goodness, Char! Those are amazing. The Quilted Cross is really stunning - is it applique? I don't think I could give that one away, either!

Yes, Sue, the cross quilt is applique', but it wasn't difficult with heat n bond.

Amazing amount of work there, Char. They are all lovely, but I'm particularly partial to the blue and green BOM quilt. It's so interesting to have all those different blocks made in the same fabrics. I was feeling pretty proud of myself for finishing two quilt tops since we got down to Palm Desert on December 4, but now I'm feeling like a slacker after seeing all your completions. Very nice!

Put me down for the Spin Wheels, too. And I like how elegant the Evening Star quilt looks. I understand the downsizing.....big time. lol

Honestly, I don't know what I am going to do with the Cross quilt. I may just bring it aboard the boat as a lap quilt. There's no room to hang it up.

I love them all Char and am impressed with your creativity and output . i Ihave to admit i have not been on my sewing machine in months . Sort of llost interest but intend to get back in gear soon
