What size of shade for exterior gooseneck lighting?

I'm in the process of building a barn style photography studio with a guest house house. I've attached a basic exterior drawing. The studio is in the gabled side, and the apartment is the lean to. There are a few changes to it, though. We'll be doing a vertical cedar board and batten siding in a semi transparent light gray stain. The roof will be a standing seem metal roof in a matte black. Where the garage is there will be a picture window of the same width, and the gable vents will be a different shape.

I'd like to do Barn Electric's goose necks in black for the exterior lights, but as we're trying to keep cost down, so I'm trying to keep the number of lights realistic.

I'd like to do a larger one in each of the gables (2), and a smaller one next to each of the three doors (apartment entrance, apartment sliding glass door, and studio entrance under porch). What size of shade would you recommend for the shades in the gables and next to the doors? Any other exterior lighting recommendations? Thanks!
