i got about 10 of them mail order as 3 foot whips ... i think a few did.. minorly.. and the others didnt ... since i planted in groups of 3 to make clumps.. adding a few to a clump didnt bother me ...

all of them were shattered in the snow and ice storms a few weeks back.. after 20 plus years ..

driving around town.. i see a lot of birches were heavily damaged by the storm ...

your location in every post.. will help us give you better info.. big city name ... is ice a concern??? .. though really.. who can plant for that once in 20 storms.. eh???
