Building and Kitchen layout needs help?

The wall between den/ kitchen will be open. The “den” will be a sitting area with all windows however the kitchen is 15X20. I do not want a sink in the island. The wall with nothing is flexible for double doors. I do not want open concept but can live with semi open. Also I’m open to double ovens in the pantry. Thanks

Can you provide a bit more context? Right now, in order to reach your outdoor living area you need to walk through the den? Is that correct? I understand your desire to not having an open floor plan, how do your main living spaces connect in this plan? Where is your living room? Taking the kitchen in isolation, your fridge is WAY too far away from your sink (20+ feet!!) you also would need to walk through your cooking area to get to the sink, or walk around your island. Your kitchen plan definitely needs reworking and there are some very talented kitchen people on this forum to assist you with this. More context is needed for the entire plan if you can post that as well?

Thank you, yes I’m very aware of all the issues this current kitchen has, lol. It’s frustrating me.
I will have 48” stove and larger refrigerator and do not want sink in island nor all appliances on one wall. I was trying to design this within the sq foot it is without adding to overall sq foot of home. There will be no wall between Den and Kitchen as stated so all the windows there will tons of light. Also there will be a dormer open to den/ kitchen area.

And for some crazy reason I can’t post the picture of plans in comments

I wish I could just delete this, lol

    Thanks

Is this a new build or a remodel? What is the purpose of the galley? It looks like a long hallway (wasted space)? Why is the kitchen so large relative to the size of the den? Did you request such a large pantry? How do you expect to use the den? How many people will be living in this house?

You right now have to travel around the island to get to the fridge; you have a long 20’ wall, your “work triangle” would be more efficient by putting the fridge, sink, stove on 1 wall behind the island in that order with appropriate counter clearance between them .

    An idea.

Shallow (18" deep?) cabinets behind the stools.

Is this a new build? where are uou in the process? if you don’t want everything in a row or sink on island i’d be looking at trying to configure an L shaped layout. and whats with the giant pantry??

What's that? - like 10' - 12' between the sink and stove and no prep sink in the island? And between the sink and fridge is what? more than 20'? And no prep sink in the island. That whole configuration really needs to be tightened up.

Read up on the do's and don'ts and sizes of work triangles.

I'm assuming that this is a very large home but too much square footage can be a real disadvantage especially if you feel the need to spread everything out.

You say you don't want open-concept and yet you're taking down the wall between the den and kitchen to create a room that will be 36' (est) by 15'. That is huge.

As mentioned, the expanse of open counter between the range and sink is puzzling. Go with a single bowl sink of 30" with the dw on the left. Move that combo down towards the range until you have 5' of open counter. I'd remove the wall separating the island from the galley so you have a view out what appears to be a large window wall or door wall.

Thank you everyone for your help, I ended up moving the kitchen in the layout so it works much better now.
