poinsettia infected?

Hello, I am a first time plant parent and had purchased a beautiful Poinsettia in December. It was doing fairly well. Recently I started observing new growths- green leaves but noticed that the center part is brown and black. I thought may be it is not getting enough nutrition so I fertilized it with Miracle gro at half of the recommended strength for the first time today. While watering I noticed a snail which i am not sure where it came from. Now i am worried is my plant sick.

Can you knowledgeable people take a look and help pls.

    Not to be too much of a downer, but Pointsettias are essentially a bunch of cuttings quickly produced by expert growers in ideal condidions and sold as disposable Christmas decoration. Unless you live in a climate where they can be grown outdoors, it is very hard to keep them as permanent house plants. Some people manage to keep them going from year to year and even get the red bracts again, but it is a faff to achieve. You have done well to keep it as long as you have. If (when) t turns up its toes don't waste time fretting about it. Find an easier, more permanent plant to grow.
