What would you put on each side of this table?

Do you think it would look better to have something on each side of this table or leave it like it is?

Thanks!

In the past I've added two dining room chairs on either side of a console. It gives the dining room breathing room, but the chairs can be pulled in when we had more people for dinner.

It would be a good spot for two high back chairs of some sort.

    What a nice entryway!

I would add some chairs or benches and some art above/behind them! Another item commonly used in such set ups is a beautiful old world umbrella stand if you prefer. The lamps can stay but I would get a smaller plant as to not detract from the beauty of the mirror. Add some nice books and objects on the table, small catch-all tray for a complete vignete. Here some inspo, let me know if you need more help. Knowing a bit more of the nearby spaces/style can help our recomandations

Thank you everyone for your ideas! I really appreciate your time. LilDesignWorks as far as the nearby space. To the right is the niche which I'm working on now and then a large hallway that goes to bedrooms. To the left is the tapestry and then a dining room. I attached a photo of the dining room with the columns. Keep walking and you get to the kitchen. Yes and a foosball table for now while the kids are still at home. Also, I attached a photo without the plant. You all are right. It's too big for that table and it covers the frame. I do have a dining room chair on each side of the cabinet and I could try them next to the entryway table.

I really appreciate everyone's help. We just got this table and mirror. We had a different one there for 25 years and when lighting hit near the house, the mirror came down off the wall, hit the marble top table, broke it in half and broke the frame around the mirror. We looked for something we liked for two years. We have this mirror on two hooks in the stud but honestly I am still concerned about the weight of it. I was walking thru the foyer when that whole thing came down and you don't forget that sound.

@amber1960 You & your family are so fortunate that you were not injured by all the shattered pieces. That sound must have been horrific.

Thank you Kw Pnw Z8. Yes you are right. I mentioned it for everyone that might have a heavy mirror or picture on the wall. Might be good to double check how secure they are.

Nice combination. If its the foyer I might add art.
