Yes, beef up the posts. Also consider removing the gingerbread-ish trim from the peaks. Hard to tell for sure from your pix…are the roof and siding more cool with warm stone?

You have a lot of interesting detail on your house, but the siding part and the stone part don't mesh. I'd pick some colors that go with your stone. Maybe a warm orangey brown for the shutters? Possibly a grayish peach with cream trim for the siding. I like the gingerbread. I would not remove it. I certainly would not replace the lovely scalloped shingles.

Then, I'd improve the landscaping by adding a bunch of peach flowering shrubs, although the current landscaping might only be suffering from not-grown-in-yet and too early spring.

Your house has lots of potential. I would replace the siding with wider wood boards, extending up into the gables, and eliminate the gingerbread. Beef up the posts at the porch, and then hire a landscape designer to create a planting plan which you can execute as finances allow.

Wow your house is great now (compared to lots of houses lol). I don't particularly care for the scallop & doodads in the gables. All one color may be nice and something that blends better with the stone. Fatter posts would look nice also. More lush larger landscaping, curve the beds. BUT the house looks great now so what is your goal?
