Hinges are not handed, doesn't matter. Just make sure you have the correct hinge type, corner radius, etc..

These particular hinges come in left and right only and they are different and not interchangable. They are olive knuckle hinges that fit into a metal framed door. Because they don't have a straight side but are connected with a curved piece, it does matter which side they go on and I have to decided whether to order right or left hinges.

Top pic is of closet door with hinges on right side of frame. Bottom pic is of a different closet door with hinges on the left side of the frame.

I have two more closet door I have to order for with hinges on the right side of the frame.

Oh no! @palimpsest that diagram totally confused me. The language described on the bottom of the diagram seemed opposite of what the pic showed. I don't think I understand the pic. Do you? What do you think it is saying I need?

It's a left-handed outswing door...my read of the diagram is that you should therefore order the left-handed hinges for it, but you might call to confirm. ETA: PPF's image seems to confirm that!

I think you need left handed hinges because the convention is for an Inswinging Door. Since your door is outswinging it flips. Your door (lower right hand picture) is the same as the opening in left handed door on the upper left of the diagram.

The management may know also, because you have them in the building and they may have a source for ones that fit for sure, since they are used in the building.

@Kendrah - Stand in your doorway (or imagine standing in your doorway) with your back towards the hinges. Extend your arms out at some angle (30 - 45 degrees). Whichever arm mirrors the door swing is the correct door/hinge orientation. So if the door open at 45 degrees looks like your left arm at 45 degrees, then it is a left hand hinge/door. If it looks like your right arm it is a right hand hinge/door.
