So why birch ? Then what are the floors in the rest of the house , not just the color but the actual wood. I usually like the same floor everywhere or at least in all the main spaces the bedrooms can be different . Waht finish are you using for the birch.

Why get plastic flooring for your real wood cabinet kitchen? Both of your examples just look so fake.

I have medium stained birch cabs, and site finished white oak floors. Perfect combo.

Consider real wood for your kitchen…for visual warmth, beauty, ease of care, and better for legs and back.

I agree, get real wood. I have site finished white oak in my kitchen and laundry area (installed when we purchased the house 25 years ago, and still beautiful), and engineered white oak in the basement ADU (radiant heating on slab), also beautiful. Perhaps somewhere there exists wood-look LVP that doesn’t look and feel fake, but I have not seen it myself. Fake wood flooring next to real wood cabinets…is not a good look.

It’s just a bit too much wood for us. We could entertain maple instead of birch but we want the natural light color for sure. With wood floors it’d look like a cabin…
