Just had 10 yr old gunite pool acid washed and my pool guy says a simple exterior epoxy is all that's needed to repaint. I asked if he was using pool paint? He said that "pool" paint is not really a thing. That an exterior masonry epoxy will do the same job protecting against chemicals used in the salt water pool. Appreciate opinions of anyone who can help. He started adding water after 2 coats on already and appears flat & streaky. He said he'd drain again and add a 3rd coat to make me happy. I just want it done right with the correct type of paint. Thanks for helping.
