Front Entryway

I’m not crazy about right when I walk in my front door there is a wall there. We found termite damage around the windows so we have to replace wood anyway. Suggestions on what to do with this wall? Should I add French doors between the windows?

Need more pictures and sketch with dimensions to provide proper input. Maybe just add lovely garden/patio setting to patio so “view” is more interesting out window with bench for gazing when desired in front of big window.

Can we see a picture from the outside? What room, does this door enter into? Looks like a foyer area, where the door is now, and quite a bit of room, where you walk in, so not crowded. Its hard to tell, in your picture, because, looks like a door there. Please post better pictures from better angles. French doors opening up where the window is, would be an option and close up the regular door, but, if thats the living room, I wouldnt want the doors opening right up into the room, I would much prefer it over in that foyer area.

Can you make the whole wall sliders, French doors, or floor to ceiling windows.

Make it one wide door with glass sidelights completely open. Door one panel glass. Make the “view” in your courtyard as beautiful as possible. I would do French doors. Not enough room and pretty expensive.

*auto correct. I would NOT DO French doors. A 36” wide door is all you need.

Why is that door boarded up? I am a bit confused, because, I saw a door right across from it, in the first picture. Just a corner of a door. Which one is your front door. The boarded up one, or the door that is partly shown in the first picture you posted.

I think a door was there originally before we bought the house and they covered it with Sheetrock

Do you have another place in your entryway for a console table? I could see a pretty table, art, lamp, key bowl right there, with your nice windows on either side. A wall of windows would be pretty too, but you'd have to keep that area outside really nice. Do you have a hot tub out there?
