Best Bloom Form

What are your best 'bloom form' roses?

People often talk about best overall rose, or best for disease resistance etc...and color is purely in the eye of the beholder, but I wonder what would be a Top 10 of roses with best bloom form? BY that I mean bloom presence - number of petals, how large the bloom gets, the way petals swirl, sturdiness of bloom, uniqueness ... or anything special about the look of the bloom itself beyond color.

Some are striking whereas others, despite a great color, leave something to be desired in terms of bloom shape. To my eye, blooms like Firefighter, America, Dark Desire, Frederic Mistral all have great form...and of course, HT-s probably tend to win in this category. But not necessarily.

For example, I like to compare the bloom form of Drifts which must be my favorite roses when all is said and done (amazing little workhorses). And yet even among these ground covers some are better than others in terms of bloom form. In my view, Sweet Drift is the best (perfectly romantic look) whereas Red Drift is probably my least favorite in this respect.

Which one would you put in your Top 10 Best Bloom Form?

Somewhere there’s a list of the varieties that have won the most rose shows in US exhibition. I recall the order was

1. Moonstone

2. Veterans Honor

3. Gemini

I’d concur these three have really terrific classic hybrid tea form, even before I saw the list I had always thought Moonstone and Veterans Honor just perfect as far as the individual flower

#1 and #2. They were planted in my front yard and always stopped people in their tracks when in full bloom.

Bloom form can mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people. For me, I'll do the typical HT 1/2 to 3/4 open bloom with a pin point center. In my garden they are;

Ring of Fire

Hot princess

Brinessa

Let Freedom Ring

Your roses are amazing and I think it is must have been your Hot Princess that I saw at a show at the Atlanta's Botanical Garden a while ago and fell in love with. I remember it stood out from all others, it was striking, living up to her name. :)
