Allium Leaf Miner--new pest

I read about this pest a few weeks ago, then found what I'm certain are the eggs on my chives. Apparently they attack all alliums, though I don't yet see signs of it on my garlic or perennial bunching onions (or the ornamental alliums in other parts of the yard). At least they can be controlled by covering plants with row covers April-May and Sept.-Oct. Or at least that's what the article here says. Just one more thing to have to do in the garden for plants that always seemed tough as iron.
