Be sure you want to limit your choices to ranges with no touchpads because it may exclude features you want. For example, the Blomberg BIR34452SS has no touchpad but it also has no oven delayed-start or timer.

LG induction ranges have done well in CR tests. The LG LSIL6336Fis new though it lacks the warming element and warming drawer of other LG models. However it has circles to indicate the induction elements replacing crosses (good) and a keypad to select oven temperature, times, etc. (previous models had less convenient up/down buttons).

The Cafe CHS900P2MS1 is truly full-featured.

CR tested the Samsung NE63B8211SS which missed a recommended rating by one point. But at $1500 it's a bargain.

The Bosch HIS8055U is pretty new but I don't know what justifies its $4400 price.

I have an LG induction range that has knobs, and I'm very happy with it. This is the third one I've had in 3 years because I've moved twice and bought a new one each time because I left the old one behind in the home I sold (and I hate cooking on radiant electric). I didn't want Samsung, and the Cafe didn't seem to have anything that I thought would warrant the increased price.

OP, what did you end up going with? We are looking for an induction range with knobs if we can find one!

You can browse through the AJ Madison 30" ranges to find those with knobs. Unfortunately, the site doesn't allow you to select only those with knobs.
