For me, your wall color is too gray and doesn't complement your floors and wood trim. I would lighten the walls up by painting them all in the same SW Alabaster (matte finish).

Accessible Beige might work if you want a darker color than Alabaster. Also look at Natural Choice and Natural Linen. Gray is a not a good fit here.

If you are having the floor refinished could you put hardwood where the carpet is now?

We are leaving the carpet. I was thinking I should paint the entire main area (kitchen, entry, living room) one color. Thoughts if I should do that. I have samples of Edgecomb Gray from BM that I liked not too gray but more neutral. I will look at the other colors too

I was thinking duraseal chestnut for stain on the hardwood.

Definitely agree on your current gray walls - they’re the odd man out and don’t go with other features pictured here, especially the countertop and floors.

Ok I received samples of the suggested colors. Left to right is SW accessible beige, SW natural tan, BM edgecomb gray, SW natural choice and alabaster.
