Agree w black locust?

Are these all the same tree -- first tree seems like a different one. Next pics are a giant black locust -- never seen one that big.

Yes, that's correct. Rarely do black locusts live long enough to reach that size. They are typically harassed relentlessly by leaf-miners destroying the summer foliage and locust borers chewing the stems/branches. That's big enough that it could prb'ly be a legitimate nominee for one of the biggest black locusts. The trunk bark is amazing.

They are actually a very common tree around here, and I wouldn't call that one notably large. The biggest issue they have locally is that many of them were originally planted near structures or roads so when they become structually unsound, they have to be removed. Montgomery Place used to have a double allee in front of the house of black locusts that I think were planted in the beginning of the 19th century. Those were removed and replaced. Black locusts also line the road approaching the estate. Vanderbilt Mansion has one that has a larger diameter, but it's lost its top.

They do here!! Or perhaps just grow a bit faster so a large size is more rapidly attained. I know of one in my old neighborhood that is at least the size of the one in the OP's photo. And several 'Frisia's in a local botanical garden are exceeding 40', which is larger than the commonly stated mature size for these generally smaller growing gold leafed forms.
