I don't think furniture wood needs to match wood floor.

I agree with jck, and unless the scheme is intentionally a severe monochromatic one, I’d prefer the table darker.

IMO It adds more interest and depth when items don't match exactly.

I would have a different wood for one or the other. The all white oak trend will run its course.

Matchy matchy is flat and boring.

Match the formality or informality of the choices. No super sleek no knots and mineral streaks flooring with something blotchy, knotty, and streaky, rustic 1970's knotty shiny pine..

Match the color families. No gray floors and warm gold oak furniture. No gray floors period. If the floors are warm caramel, that has reds and golds in it. The futrniture should have reds and golds in it to a greater or lesser degree. Just look like they are at least 2nd cousins, not necessarily siblings.
