Both start yellow but DEL is viridescent and larger. DQ is terrific. You have so many already so you could grow both and appreciate the differences.

Yes DQ will remain yellow. I think DEL would still be yellow now but perhaps by mid to late June it would start turning green. I do hope someone can post pics of both for you. I only have DQ.

I only have Dancing Queen and it starts out an incredible vibrant yellow then fades to chartreuse which it is right now. About halfway though summer, it will be more like grass green.

If you want to see them in real life, you could go to the yearly alphabet threads. I'm sure they would be in there!

As it so happens I have both and have them right next to each other. DEL in these shots is just a single shoot division but you quickly get the picture...

As you see they're both chartreuse by now.

I appreciate suggestions! Interesting that Alphabet did not have many pictures of DEL.

This is hosta I had in question. Luckily I found a name. It is Butter Yellow. One of those that rarely are avail now. I got it from Bob Fox few years back. It is similar to DEL but is more lutescent.
