To clarify, I'm asking specifically about the type of cleaners such a as powder, foam, cream/gel, or spray. Not necessarily the brands represented here. I just used these as examples. I hope that makes sense my friend 🙂

No I'm just a guy who is cleaning enthusiast and just wanted to start a discussion. I hope that's ok.

I’ll play! Here’s what we use to clean things:

• 50/50 vinegar and water with a few drops of dishsoap to clean windows, to wipe down interior fridge shelves, glass tabletop on nightstand
• cotton towel still moist and hot from the faucet with a couple drops of dishsoap to wipe down granite countertops and backsplash and cast iron sink
• 50/50 rubbing alcohol and water to spray the SS cooktop
• once a month a few dollops of coconut oil on a microfiber towel to wipe down wood dining table and other wood furniture in the house, the other weeks just a clean microfiber towel to dust the furniture
• barkeepers liquid version to rub out scuffs on cast iron sink
• microfiber towel rinsed in hot water to wipe away SS fridge fingerprints
• comet powder on sinks and bathtub because I like the recyclable cardboard containers
  We bring our empty containers to the local store to fill up from their bulk dishsoap, shampoo and body soap. Haven’t found a similar set up with bulk vinegar and rubbing alcohol but we do buy the large containers to lessen the footprint….also will be trying the laundry detergent paper strips soon.
• 70/30 hot water and vinegar with a few drops of dishsoap to spray mop ceramic tile bathroom floors each week, and once every 3 months on wood floors

My favorite all propose cleaner is Awesome from the dollar tree. Windows i use distilled water and rubbing alchol. Mirrors, etc Windex. Bar Keepers Friend for kitchen sink. The only time I use vinegar/water is for for my kitchen and bathroom floors.

Besides the vinegar/water for the floor and the rubbing alcohol for mirrors, etc., I love Krud Kutter /water solution in a spray bottle for general cleaning in the kitchen and bathroom.

I like simple green for a couple of things, love the scent, I use Sprayaway Window cleaner for my glass coffee table and stainless appliances. I use a couple tablespoons Clorox bleach for toilets and once in a while I clean the shower with Lysol mold and mildew remover with bleach, because I have untreated well water and it grows mold easily. The rest of the time I use Bio-clean for showers, sinks, etc. It’s great for removing hard water spots.

I like a spray for most cleaning. it’s so easy to use, to wipe, may or may not need rinsing. If the cleaner has to sit for a bit, foam (although that Dawn PowerWash doesn’t have to sit, that stuff is amazing). And if the spray doesn’t work the first time, scouring powder (BKF or Bon Ami). Creams, they do make it easy to clean the bottom of the tub.

I add alcohol to my floor cleaner in a bucket with hot water and use a cloth flat head mop. Vinegar does clean well but I don't like the smell of it so rarely use it. Occasionally I use it in sink drains and it makes them like new, but I add baking soda to counter the smell. I love the Sprayway foam cleaner for windows. I always used Windex in the past until someone showed me this and it is much better. Most everything else I use is Mrs. Meyers different scented all purpose spray cleaners. I spray my shower with leave on cleaner daily and it never seems to get dirty.

If I could only have one it would be a spray but powder is a close second. For maintenance cleaning, Mrs. Meyers concentrate is mixed in a spray bottle. It does daily duty on counters, smudges and more. I came across a youtuber who likes to test for bacteria and that product did well to kill it. Deeper cleaning or seasonal stuff like exterior window sills might need Simple Green spray and real neglected filth takes Dirtex powder in hot water and scrub brushes. Hard water and soap scum gets a spray of CLR Bathroom cleaner. That same youtuber had success with it and I found it superior to Lyson, Scrub Free, and Kaboom bath cleaners. For anything that needs some abrasion, Barkeepers Friend is first up.

I find sprays easiest to use.

I use Method brand spray cleaner - it is environmentally friendly and works well for me.

I have pretty good luck using baking soda on things like my s.s. kitchen sink. It doesn't scratch.
