I think the chairs are too modern for your pedestal table. I'd think about either slipcovered Parsons chairs or upholstered Louis chairs:

These are both from Ballard Designs, but you can find them elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend the black finish on the Louis chair, but they make them in all sorts of finishes.

I have those chairs. They are paired with a vintage Danish rosewood pedestal table. Your table is too traditional/country casual for those chair. If that is your style direction, I agree that the softness of fabric would be the better pairing.

You can do square backs, but not those because they are too MCM for the table.

Yes you can have square chairs with a round table, just not those. Both the table and chairs are very nice but styles don’t match.

I don't think these tables and chairs look good together but it is not due to square and round. They are just different styles that don't really mesh.
