What to put on the mantel

DH and I rarely agree on a piece of art - this one hit the mark for both of us. Because of the ledges on the fireplace, we can’t hang this right above the mantel. Ideas what (if anything) we can put on the mantle? The FP is 15’ to ceiling. Our style leans modern, clean, minimalist…

I would layer a couple more pieces of modern art on mantle with a beautiful modern vase.

I love the art you chose, it's perfect for there!

I'd probably look for a set of dark colored vases (charcoal or brown?), something like this:

Nothing on the mantle and possibly a large piece on the hearth. If you are minimalist pieces on the mantle will look like clutter

Thank you everyone for all your great ideas (including nothing!) The stuff on the hearth is gone (really just somewhere to put them while I decided on ???) I like the blue acrylic items and the vases - If anything goes there, yes, something sort of tall. I really appreciate the time you took to respond!!!
