Just purchaded a house and going to get started on in law suite. The space is 26.5 long and im considering cutting off one end for a bedroom. I’m not concerned about the amount of space as the room 18 feet wide. im

concerned abput the natural light. one end has 5 windows approx 9 feet and the other end has sliding doors plus a window but its under the deck so not the brightest space. i think dividing the space will improve the light because each area will be smaller. A friend of mine said it could make it darker. Opinions? i have option of room divider but not sure how it would look .
