You need to research seating arrangements based on pieces you already have unless you are planning a new suite of furniture. How many people will use this room and is there a TV or fireplace.. seating is grouped around them on an area rug.

For color scheme, neutrals are the safest with color brought in in pillows, rug, art, etc. Any color will work with your neutral walls.

Do you have any furniture already for this room? If so, do you have pictures. Tracefloyd is right, you have neutral walls. Any color will work with them.

All furniture will be purchased new. We are not taking anything from old house. Please send us some interior/furniture recommendation if any for neutral white paint wall

Me? I love Kelly Moore "Swiss Coffee 23" A gorgeous white but not stark.

We have it on our walls now. Looks good in all light and next to warm or cool colors. LRV 86 which is just right as far as brightness.

Use 23 Swiss Coffee flat finish for the walls and ceiling and semi-gloss for all trim and doors. The same color for everything. Open up the room visually.

You can't go wrong with this design rule...float a large rug in the center of the Living Room and place your conversational seating arrangement on it, or at least the front legs of the seating. And the coffee table in the middle.

Then the use walls for placing shelves, media center, console tables, chests, art etc. An easy chair in a corner with a reading lamp is always a nice touch.
