Tub wall tile vs floor tile question

I have chosen a 12x12 floor tile for my bathroom. I am trying to figure out if I should use the same tile for the tub surround. I'm getting feedback that I should as it'll look seamless and others that it should be different. Also if I do use the same, should they both be offset pattern or one straight aligned pattern? Any opinions are helpful. Thank you

High gloss and bathroom floors are not a good mix.

Usually people use the gloss version on the walls and the matte/honed wet rated version on the floors.

Also those tiles have the same pattern repeat on every tile. I would visit a local tile store and look for tiles that have more "natural" pattern variations. Most tile stores (other than a few that only sell very high end materials) will have a wide variety of materials and price points. I also like to support local independently owned tiles stores whenever possible.

Yes to same tile but unpolished for floor.

Or….for a rental of ours we did a similar wall tile like yours but a gray hex floor.
