For the stone veneer, I'd look at Eldorado Stone which will likely have a similar pattern/color as what is shown here. For the brick, show the picture to a building supply place and maybe they can find a similar color for you.

    Don't do that.

And forget those ridiculous shuttery things!

I’m not a fan of those “shuttery things” haha

Mark Bischak I’m curious why you say don’t do that.

res2architect I truly can appreciate your comment, but I find some of the stone and brick houses beautiful. I guess it’s a personal choice and taste. I really like the contrasting colors of this one.

Lori, I agree it’s really personal preference. The combination tends to look busy to me. Some people also add roof shingles with a lot of color variegation in the shingles that just adds more pattern to the mix. That being said, go for what you love.

My husband and I were recently talking about when we picked out the brick for our house. There was only 1 or 2 places to get our brick locally. My understanding at the time was that brick companies tend to limit the distribution areas. Once I narrowed our choice down to 2 or 3 the brickyard gave me the addresses of houses with that brick so I could see it on a house.

Wondering if you can call local brickyards with the address and ask them? They might know.

Alternately would you be comfortable contacting the owners of the house? A few years after we moved in a man came up and knocked on our door. He was interested in knowing what brand and color of brick we had. I was happy to tell him and considered it a compliment.

Many times when brick is combined with stone, it comes out poorly. If you choose to have both, make sure you have a very talented and experienced designer.

What is it you like about that house?

Cpartist, basically it’s the colors. I like brick and stone and I like the contrast that they have with each other on this particular house. I was searching online for photos of examples of brick with stone and stumbled upon this photo and just really liked the colors.

Rrah, I found this photo online. I did try to track down the builder, but came up empty. I will be visiting a local brickyard to see if they can help. Thank you.

Here's a mix of Arriscraft man-made stone and concrete brick separated by Indiana limestone chosen with the idea of complementing each other.
