Floor plan with all dimensions will be necessary to get you any real advice. As well as budget because all those columns appear that they will be structural and big bucks for big beams to eliminate them.

If you're talking about an island at which people can sit, Jenn is spot on: you don't have the width, without tearing out a wall and eliminating one side of cabinets. This project will be so expensive you're better off buying a home with the kitchen you want.
