Window Covering

Need ways to decorate the window and patio door in a condo. The size is 13 feet x 88 inches long. Whatever the outside faces, it needs to be white or beige.

Can’t see how much wall space is on right but I’d go with a ceiling mounted track & have it long enough that panels on both sides stack completely off the door & windows when open. I’d think about installing 2 separate tracks or controls for times when you want panels open or closed over one side only. Just have the drapes lined so a white backing presents to exterior & you can have any color or pattern you like.

The right side has about 12 inches. Would you do 1 solid color.

12” likely isn’t enough space for the window drape to stack fully off of the window but that’s ok - I’d still run the track past end of window the full 12” to stack as much as possible off window. The left side door you’d want to stack fully off the door assuming the sliding door is on left side. If it’s on right side of door & slides to left then just match the left side track end to the right side track end so the drape stack when they’re open is matched for both sides. Hope that makes sense. As for drape color - I have no suggestions to offer based on the tiny view of space! 😊 But, looks like modern style couch & bar stool & both look red & solid color. So, maybe you want to add textural interest with a print / design in the drape fabric which includes red or whatever color those main furniture pieces are, and white which the walls are.

I should have said, that is not my furniture. I don't move in till August. My couch is beige, don't know the color  going to paint the walls yet.

Well, Kim, yes, that info would’ve made a difference in my suggestion! First things first. Move in, arrange the furniture, see how the light comes in a different times of day. Maybe head to a big box store, check their window covering dept. & buy a bunch of the white paper temporary window coverings - they stick with adhesive backing. Those will last you awhile & give you privacy until you figure out what you want to do. Maybe you’ll meet some neighbors & see what kind of treatments they’ve done with windows & get some great ideas about like/dislike!
