Have you thought of a sofa facing the FP and 2 chairs flanking the FP?

Four matching club chairs/armchairs on the diagonal would look nice from the front door and very practical. No back of seating look. A round coffee table and an area rug to comfortably fit the pieces would work wonders. The coordinating bench could go by the door.

Not sure why you thought bathroom vanity lights were appropriate in this location. Install picture lights with art positioned below.

Start by selecting the correct area rug, but a furnishing arrangement like this allows a guest to be welcomed into the space

Tracefloyd - that looks great but only 4 can sit and I’d like room for more butts.

I love Bev's layout and I think it would be perfect in your space.

What is in pictures is not what I suggested. I suggested similar to Bev but only 1 chair on window side angled like one on entry side. Her layout gives you another seat. If that is your furniture it doesn't work very well

@jck910 Thanks for the clarification. The furniture is not mine - that's a picture of how the seller had it laid out previously. Don't like how their furniture was too big and ornate to take up even more visual space.

Hopefully those cubbies are gone too…(they could be handy in a laundry room or at any entry to the home )…and in view of the overall look the fireplace would be more cohesive and a prettier contrast ….(to the black stone) …in a pale color

Also …with those lovely views …any seating that swivels ..could add to the enjoyment of the views…
