I think it looks more like a Huernia or Stapellia species. They are all basically Ceropegia, since all succulent asclepiads were proven to be nested in Ceropegia Perhaps Huernia schneideriana?

Too thick to be an Echidnopsis, but flowers will tell.

Julie, I found an Echidnopsis that looks like a close match. Echidnopsis 'Korat Ruby'. I still have a lot to learn about these succulent asclepiad genera. I'm not sure what Echidnopsis species was used for this cultivar? Repens came up, and it could be it, but there are another 33 species. Definately not Huernia schneideriana.
