How would you do drapes?

How would you do drapes with this modern window setup? I'm stumped. It's on a west wall that gets extreme heat in the summer.

    I agree:

Or you could do something like this which would allow you to have the two outside windows exposed in the daytime:

That does seem the obvious choice but it surely changes the vibe completely. Since it is a bedroom, a private space I might be tempted to put panels on the two small windows open/stack to the wall only and ignore the small window over the bed. Find a shade that will hang flat like a wall...

Here's the same idea but the drapery looks more modern. I think it's called a wave fold track.

Like this. I don't know what style you are wanting. These windows are flexible enough to take whatever style you want. It does not have to be modern.

I think we need a bit more info but the logical answer is to run the drapes across the whole wall I have tha in my bedroom in fact on 2 whole walls I love it it makes the space ook elegant and it makes our laerge bedroom fell a bit cozy. I think bedrooms are the one space in the house that is totally for you so share a bit about you and your style .

Patricia, my style is a bit close to the style from CDR Design, in comments, pics of her Denver renovation and mine is modern, desert living, organic/neutrals with hints of spanish/mexico/native american pieces, minimalist.  I'm not a designer so that's the best description I have.

Hi. Is this the room that your style is similar to?

Notice how simple the bedding is. I recommend laying your pillows flat. I am not sure pink is the best color choice. Your slatted headboard is a feature and that should be highlighted.

Before actually choosing drapes, you need to

    1) Gather inspiration photos of rooms you like. Type under them exactly what you like about each room.

    2) Set the best floor plan for the room. Looks like under the window might be the best, but I have no idea, not having seen the space.

    3) Decide what you want to keep. Is the dark slatted bed and nightstands staying? Then that would be something to design the room around. What else is staying?

    4) Clear out all trinkets and stuff, so you have a clean slate.

From here, you are now ready to start making choices. Drapes would be toward the end.

    Hope this helps!
