Name That Plant!Perennials

ID needed.... is this a weed/what plant is it?

I noticed these - what appear to be seedlings - in the north side of the driveway border this morning. I assume they might be weeds - since I don't remember seeing them before or planting them...! But they are pretty things too so I wonder if anyone knows what they are... There was a short one about 18-24" and a taller one that was close to 4' tall...

Epilobium I believe woody. Yes a very pretty weed.

I'd say some sort of epilobium, aka fireweed. Perhaps E. hirsutum.

looks like epilobium parviflorum ... but I am more certain what it isn'.t..not angustifolium or hirsutum (I have both of them on my woodland edges). Many, many times, I have been caught out by the handsome rosette...and have nurtured them for far too long before realisation sets in. Easily pulled...it's the seeds which are a nuisance.
