We have a couple of these units in our home and the installers advised us to clean the filters on them
Monthly and I’ve been fairly consistent in doing that. Recently one of the units started to make noise and had trouble keeping area cool. We had our hvac company come out and the guy said it needed to be cleaned inside the unit! Although he didn’t have anything along to clean it so he has to get back to us later today or tomorrow. I’d like to know if anyone has advice on how we could clean them ourselves? Or should our hvac company offer any type of yearly maintenance service. When we had them put in they only told me to clean those filters and I have done that. It also didn’t seem like this service guy was very familiar with them which is concerning to me also. We’ve had them going into 4 years now. They’ve worked great until this noise. Thanks for any suggestions.
