yes you can use pleated with ring clips.

I would use a slimmer rod and small rings as opposed to the large rod shown in your pix.

Yes, they will hang nicely.

I made pleated curtains and attached drapery hooks/pins into the back of each pleat. Then, I hooked each pleat onto the drapery ring. See photos, below.

@Laurie Thank you for sharing pictues . this is helpful. maybe pleated looks too complicated for me . i also dont know how my pleats will gather if i pull the curtains together .

I want to put curtains across the 16 feet window. But i want them in a style that they can come all the way across as well as i can do this with them ( picture below)

i am not sure if I can do that with a traverse rod. so i was thinking to do a round brass colored metal rod with ring clips. but i think i will not get ring clips to make a good fall for the curtains. I do not like grommet. i am considering rod pocket style.

what do you all think ?

Using a traverse rod for pleated curtains/drapes is an option. In another room of my home, I have made pleated curtains (similar to the one I posted above) that attach to a traverse rod for easy open and close. The drapery I posted above can be opened and closed by hand (or using a attached wand). For wider windows, some people prefer using a traverse rod to open and close their drapes. In the photos I will post (below), you can see where I insert drapery pins into the back of each pleat. Then, insert the pin into the drapery rings on the traverse rod.

I remember the bedrooma nd IMO a traverse rod is the perfect answer for that type of idea. No rings needs just the raverse rod the holders that fit into the rod and the hooks o the back of the pleats . Or pull the bed out a bit get a nice iron rod that can span that space with only a center support and get reall y simpl e to use grommet darpes sew the panels together for each side and open and close easily.
