People buy those beautiful old homes, only to ruin their character with trendy, ikea- looking decor and furnishings. Yes, this house needed some updates, but really…THIS?!

Agreed! So beautiful before! Hire a designer or at least one with good taste. I’ll offer my services for free if it means keeping the character of a historic home.

I agree!! They took all the beautiful character away. How could you get rid of those beautiful floors and mirror. They ought to be beat for what they did to that kitchen, deck and back parking area.

I so agree! That light fixture under the beautiful medallion is bizarre! And there was so much you could’ve done with the original flooring!!! My very first home I pulled up carpet and found original hardwood flooring. It was like a treasure hunt! I think with these old homes you need to lean into the original character.
