Yes, but the manufacturer is going to say that it is within their acceptability standards. I had a lady that forbid me from removing a bright red contaminant from her white engineered stone top; she loved it.

"Can it be fixed?"

Yes, but I'd suggest you live with it for a while first. Once the fabricator cut the slab, he assumed all responsibility for its acceptability, according to the manufacturer. Even if you fix it to where a home inspector for a buyer doesn't find it, you will never be able to "unsee" this, unless you do the best repair which is to install a larger sink.

What's involved? The new sink, undo plumbing connections , top off, cut new sink profile, reinstalled sink and plumbing.......and I have no clue why a fabricator would let that OUT of the shop for install.

It can be drilled and filled for a couple of hundred dollars. Putting in a new sink is not necessarily going to cure that, unless the sink is a whole lot deeper front to back. You will also pay close to half of a new counter to have that done. If you can find anyone.

Here's what you may expect if a repair is attempted:

A fill on a deck is much more difficult as the finish on the estone has to be matched. Lots of guys won't touch it for that reason. Too much risk; too little reward.

The cabinet front is tapped off and the sink removed. The new larger cutout is cut, removing the offending mark. It is profiled and polished and the new sink undermounted and the cabinet front reinstalled.

Not by anyone reputable. I have a $750.00 minimum charge; gets rid of the tire kickers. Drilled a faucet hole for a widow who was 10 minutes from another job for tip only; she gave me fifty bucks. lol.
