They are that size but a little darker. Some are close to that color but still darker. They might "dry out" and turn darker.

It is odd because msot eggs are on leaves and very few are on the vine with none near the base of the vine. But again I just recently found them and saw SVB's around the past week

Might it be scale, not eggs?

IMPE, insect eggs with translucent shells become darker just before they hatch.

Did you already dispatch those eggs - or whatever they were? I can't think of any beneficial insect that would leave eggs like that.

I would put on gloves and just rub 'em out - literally!

SVB eggs can either be on leaves or stems. This is indeed SVB egg-laying time in your part of the world.
