( polished nickel and a brass ) are quite a competitive combination. I don't recommend it. In any case, more information as to room, style of the space etc is NEEDED. Particularly which? Kitchen or bath?

I read an article about mixing metals and this combination was recommended. There were photos of a bathroom with polished nickel faucet and mirror and sconces in a gold/brass color. I was wondering about kitchen. White cabinets. Wood floor. Faucet and pendants in brushed brass. Just too hard to find complementary hardware. As discussions on here attest! In magazines with brass faucet there seems to be mostly silver metal hardware I just can’t tell what color.

It wouldn't be my choice, but it's your kitchen. If you like the examples you posted, then go for it. Just don't do it by default, meaning just because you think you can't find brushed brass hardware. I just did a google search on "brushed brass cabinet hardware" and loads of options popped up. Build.com, rejuvenation.com, myknobs.com, signaturehardware.com, etc. etc.

Unfortunately I’d have to order a sample from each to see coloration. I’m trying to buy in person. On another thread same topic - Kohler faucet- people bought and returned most options…thought by going another direction I could avoid that. Thank you for your help.

First, what are your appliances? Stainless? What is the sink? Stainless or a white farm? It need NOT be exact. The word is blend. Top Knobs Honey bronze below , just a couple . MANY many style options.

You have to sample any in person if you need "match"

Just know that satin nickel will always work, and that is doubly true if appliances are stainless.

So yes............if you want it....do some HOME work : ) Also depends look and style you want, along with sizing. But answer is same. I'd be no on the polished nickel - high maintenance from water spots, and too warm/green a cast

Thanks I am doing homework - lots of it. The Kohler vibrant brushed modern brass is tough. Not looking to match per se but not be glaringly wrong. Sink stove and oven are stainless. Fridge and dw paneled. At several dealers was told top knobs only has a champagne gold. Will have to ask about honey bronze. I’ve looked at many but due to quantity needed can’t go $50+ per handle (rejuvenation, Ashley Norton, etc). It’s not easy!!

A finish NAME in any finish/any brand is 100% meaningless. You need a sample in hand and it needn't be 50 bucks a handle.

Any size any style in Top Knobs Honey Bronze? You can have one in hand in two days, Wayfair or even Amazon

And there is no need for perfect match. Nobody is holding a cabinet pull up to your faucet : )

Failing that ? I'd do satin nickel .......same as your appliances. This is ONE of two reasons I usually use stainless for faucet and let the warm brasses in as accents in hardware and lighting.
